Our team has completed three separate phased expansions at eBay’s South Jordan facility, serving as the mechanical and plumbing contractor. All three phases included significant cooling scopes along with very large custom supply air plenums.These expansions total more than 225,000 square feet.

Our scope of work:

  • Forty-one AHUs 
  • Fourteen air conditioning units 
  • Two rooftop units 
  • Ten humidifiers 
  • One-hundred-and-six VAVs
  • Three pumps
  • Thirty-one plumbing fixtures

Aligned  

West Jordan, UT

Our team provided additional cooling capacity for critical data halls during this expansion to Aligned Energy’s existing facility. Several intricately planned shutdowns were required to tie the new system into the existing chilled water system.

  • Two air handling units
  • Four chillers
  • Chilled water piping
  • Make-up water piping

Tonaquint   

Boise, UT

We used the design/assist approach to complete a 7,500-square-foot addition to one of Tonaquint’s data centers in Boise, ID. The primary system consisted of cutting-edge computer room air conditioner (CRAC) units.  

Our scope of work:

  • Five rooftop units – 50 tons of cooling
  • Six pumped refrigerant cooled CRAC units

We provided HVAC and plumbing solutions for this project, serving as the mechanical contractor alongside Hill Mechanical Group. The total facility covered 235,000 square feet and included a 30,000-square-foot, mission-critical data center. 

Our scope of work:

  • Four water cooled chillers – 1,000 tons of cooling each 
  • Four cooling towers
  • Twenty-six custom built air handling units 
  • Two variable air volume rooftop packaged units
  • One constant volume rooftop packaged unit
  • Thirty-one exhaust fans
  • Two gas fired boilers
  • Soft water system
  • Chemical feed system

University of Utah Data Center

We helped consolidate seven data centers into a single, 74,000-square-foot computing and data storage facility for the University of Utah. The project featured highly advanced heating and cooling systems and achieved LEED Gold.
