Safety

TECHS & PIPE.jpgOur employees are our most valuable asset. We believe that it is our duty to strive for an injury-free work environment, where hazards to our workers, subcontractors, or others involved in our work are minimized as much as possible. Our objective is to create a safety culture where safety is everyone's responsibility.

We’ve worked hard to reduce accidents and always strive to exceed industry standards. As part of our ongoing commitment, we employ a full-time safety director, and all our employees are routinely drug tested.

We utilize a variety of tools and processes in our environment, health, and safety (EHS) program, which has been developed through a collaboration among office leadership, field leadership, and field workers.

Components of Our EHS Program

Pre-Task Safety Plans
Before any work begins, CCI conducts a thorough risk assessment, identifying potential hazards and developing a pre-task safety plan to help workers navigate and perform work safely.

Stop Work Authority
In our tailored new-hire process, all employees are informed that they can speak up anytime they have a concern about a potential hazard without fear of consequences and with full backing from company leadership.

Field-Focused Safety Equipment
Safety equipment is chosen and tested by field workers to help ensure that the right equipment is being purchased and that it feels comfortable to the workers using it.

Continuing Safety Education
Field personnel participate in continuous, ongoing safety education, such as training, hands on and digital coursework, certifications, conferences, and more.

Good Work Practices Review
Workers participate in weekly Good Work Practices reviews—tailored to the hazards or work being performed that week—helping to ensure that relevant safety procedures are at the forefront of their minds.

Supportive resources
Supportive resources, such as counselling and employee assistance programs, are readily available to address concerns or stressors.

Together these tools help ensure that safety remains the number one priority on site and that our workers remain vigilant when it comes to protecting themselves and others.
